Imagenetix Appoints Former FDA, NIH Staffer to Guide IND Submission for Anti-Inflammatory Compound

June 26, 2006

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 26, 2006--Imagenetix, Inc. (OTCBB:IAGX - News) today announced it has engaged the services of Michael Hamrell, Ph.D., president of MORIAH Consultants, a regulatory affairs and clinical research consulting firm near Los Angeles. Dr. Hamrell, who has held leading positions within the FDA and NIH and served as a regulatory affairs and pharmaceutical product development consultant for 25 years, will help guide Imagenetix' IND submission for its proprietary anti-inflammatory compound, 1-tetradecanol complex (1-TDC).

This guidance will include assisting Imagenetix' scientific staff in reviewing 1-TDC research to date, assessing additional studies necessary to meet FDA requirements to begin human clinical trials on the compound, preparing an IND application for 1-TDC, and submitting this application to the FDA.

1-TDC is intended for use as a pharmaceutical in the treatment of periodontal disease and other widespread inflammatory conditions.

The compound has recently achieved successful results in both animal acute toxicity and in-vitro efficacy studies.

"We are thrilled to align ourselves with Dr. Hamrell," said Imagenetix president William P. Spencer. "His breadth of knowledge and experience will be of great help in guiding Imagenetix through the IND submission process for 1-TDC, a compound we believe has great promise in the prescriptive marketplace."
